Torpedo Factory Art Center/Target Gallery, located in Alexandria, Virginia, announces their call for artists for Dia de los Muertos: The Art of Remembrance
The Torpedo Factory Art Center presents its Third Annual Day of the Dead celebration from October 24–November 4, 2011. The altar exhibition returns to the main floor of the art center and will be hosted by the Target Gallery. Local and regional artists are invited to submit altar proposals.
Juror: Shane Pomajambo Shane Pomajambo is the CEO and Creative Director of Art Whino gallery, a DC-based art gallery whose mission is to bring together the freshest talent in the underground art scene, with a focus on Pop Surrealism and Low Brow art movements. Pomajambo is also an architect and owner of Moderne Design, a multi-disciplinary design build firm focusing on contemporary design.
